Product Overview
Novia® Black+ Essential Roof and Wall Breather Membrane is a low cost, low weight, breather membrane approved for use in insulated wall applications, and is compliant to EN 13859-2 for walls. The material also meets EN 13859-1 for pitched roofing. Novia® Black+ Essential has excellent W1 water resistance but still provides high breathability. It also complies with EN 13501-1 Fire Classification E. Novia® Black+ Essential is completely black on one side, grey on the reverse, with no text or images.
Novia® Black+ Construction Wrap Light meets the requirements for UKCA marking, originally introduced under the 2013 Construction Products Regulations with CE marking. Under this European directive, all products covered by a current hEN (harmonised European Norm) must comply with the new standard. Third party accreditation is no longer sufficient. This has been adapted to UKCA following the UK departure from the EU.

Installation Tips
Installation guidelines can be found on individual product datasheets using the links on this page. To install Novia breather membranes, we recommend using two tape sealing system to improve airtightness.
Our Double Sided Adhesive Tape is used between laps of the breather membrane, and one of our single sided overlap tapes, such as Breather Membrane Lap Tape (BMLT), is used to complete the seal, improve airtightness and keep down any excess membrane which may get caught in the wind.
