Product Overview
Novia® Black+ Ultimate Roof and Wall Breather Membrane is a premium quality, high specification, versatile, breather membrane for all pitched cold and warm roofs, as well as insulated wall applications. The material meets EN 13859-1 for pitched roofing and EN113859-2 for walls. Novia® Black+ Ultimate has excellent water resistance but still provides high breathability; it is strong yet lightweight and also complies with EN113501-1 fire classification grade E. The product is completely black on one side, grey on the reverse, with no text or images on, except for a 150mm overlap line.
Novia® Black+ Ultimate meets the requirements for UKCA marking, originally introduced under the 2013 Construction Products Regulations with CE marking. Under this European directive, all products covered by a current hEN (harmonised European Norm) must comply with the new standard. Third party accreditation is no longer sufficient. This has been adapted to UKCA following the UK departure from the EU.
Novia® Black+ Ultimate is suitable for use in BS 5534 wind uplift applications. Following successful tests, Novia® Black+ Ultimate can be used in zones 1-4 without additional tapes (≤345mm battens), and in zones 1-5 using our Breather Membrane Lap Tape.

To install the membranes, we recommend using the Novia Double Tape Sealing System.
Our Double Sided Adhesive Tape is used on the laps of the breather membrane, with the Breather Membrane Lap Tape is used to complete the seal, keeping down any excess membrane which may get caught in the wind.
